State Fair

Well, here we are - about 2 weeks late. Sometimes real life just gets in the way of blogging, which is a good thing, mostly :)

As we've done the last several years, we decided to go to the state fair bright and early on a Sunday morning. Todd's parents were visiting, so they came along, plus my parents and sister came along too. We had a big crowd to say the least! Add the fact that it was the most beautiful day EVER and it was crowded, with a crowd, which made it a little chaotic, but I think everyone still had a good time. We all ate some delicious fair food and the kids conquered some fears and tried new rides. We saw some animals and saw some crafts and gave high fives to some policemen. What else do you really need?!

Watching the old ice cream equipment with Grandpa

Homemade ice cream - YUM!

Baby chicks - so cute!

Little piglets and their mama

Our fair crowd

Someone was not interested in taking pictures - any guesses who?

He remembered this from last year and couldn't wait to go again!

Enjoying the Merry-Go-Round, but NOT riding the horses

We finally got Kate to ride the train this year... Brett's buddy from school and his little brother are right behind them

Brett and Todd on the roller coaster - waving their arms in the air!

Brett with his friend, Camden

Maybe the double stroller would've been a good idea :)

The girls - Mom, me, Kate, Meredith, Vivian

The kids love watching animals

Same happy family, same dis-interested little girl

Brett loved the race car

Grandpa taught Brett how to take pictures with his camera (of the race car, of course)

Sweet, happy boy

Kate loved the Merry-Go-Round

Brett just loved being silly

Kate convinced Memere to go on the little cars

Walking back to the car after a long day at the fair :)
