State Fair

It has become tradition to go to the state fair on a Sunday morning, bright and early, no matter how cold it might be.  This morning was in the mid-40's when we first got there, but warmed up nicely!  It was a perfect day at the fair, and only got crowded around lunch time.  This was the first year that we left the stroller at home and decided to tough it out.  The kids did amazing!  I felt a little like a pack mule, but I survived too :)

The kids found these boards all over the place and thought they were hilarious!

Hmmm... turkey legs!

A little mid-morning snack with Dad

This year's winning pumpkin - 5228 pounds!  Wow!

Kate loved all of the animals, especially the baby pigs and chicks.  Brett was counting the seconds until 10am, when the rides opened!

Checking out the police helicopter

Brett and Miss Kinston - he was such a little ham!  Kate wanted nothing to do with her.

Waiting for their turn on the roller coaster.  Kate was a little nervous, but she tried not to show it.

Kate's first roller coaster ride - she LOVED it!!!  Brett did too :)

Breaking for lunch with the Apex Lions

Brett busted out some Transformer moves
