100th day

It is hard to believe that Brett has already been in school for 100 days. Seriously - 100 days of Kindergarten. Already?! How did this happen? I feel like it's barely the middle of the school year, and here we are, already talking about registration for next year. It's crazy.

Brett's fabulous teachers continue to amaze me with their creativity and enthusiasm.  Brett is a good kid who tries hard - in fact, almost too hard.  He wants to be perfect all the time.  The apple doesn't fall far from the tree - either tree.  He is a perfectionist.  While this is a good thing sometimes, it also leads him to be lacking in confidence in his reading and writing abilities.  Luckily, his teachers are always coming up with new fun ways to get the kids excited to read and write.

Meet Rex, the class's baby chameleon.  Each day he goes home with a different child - complete with his own bed, blankets, pillow, food, and book to record his daily activities.

"Rex watched me play Transformers!" - Brett, age 5

Rex is actually a puppet - here is Brett giving him hugs!
