Today was Brett's first day of school. We talked about it A LOT leading up to today so that he sort of knew that it was coming (if a 2 year old understands these things). When we first dropped him off, he was pretty shy and clingy - and then he saw CARS! He was fine... he was more than fine. He wanted us to leave him to play with the cars. When I picked him up today, I asked him what he did in school. His response - "play with cars." I asked what else he did, and he responded "play ground." I asked if he did anything else and he said no. According to his daily report, he got check marks for:
- I had a happy day today.
- I had fun on the play ground.
- I finished my snack.
He did not get check marks beside things like enjoying today's craft, enjoying today's song, listening well to the story, etc. We'll work on it... :) He also did not get check marks beside the negative things like "I had a sad day" or "I missed mommy and daddy." So that's a good thing!
