My Mother's Day celebration actually started on Thursday with the Monkey Class "Moms and Muffins" breakfast. I was expecting a pretty casual, slightly chaotic morning. Boy was I wrong! When we walked in they had vases with flowers and cards that each of the kids made. You can scroll down for the pictures...
Kate enjoyed spending some time playing with the older kids in the Monkey Classs!
One of the tables that they had set up, complete with hand-painted vases with "flowers" and hand-made cards with drawings of their mom and a description inside.
According to Brett, I have...
Long black hair with a black bow in it
Brown eyes
A yellow nose
A black smile
A blue chin
A pink wedding dress
Red wedding shoes
Guess what?! Todd and I WENT to a wedding that weekend... can you tell what Brett remembered?!?!
According to Brett...
my mom is 4 years old (29 years old)
Her favorite color is red (I don't HATE red, so close enough...)
Her favorite foods are meat and tacos and her favorite thing to drink is milk (I DO love meat, and tacos, but I only drink milk when I'm pregnant... unless he knows something that I don't know!)
At work, my mom does lots and ltos and lots and lots of work! She goes to Target and just works! (ok, pretty accurate there!)
Her favorite thing to do with me is play cars!
My mom's favorite thing to wear is her Target shirt! It's red! (oh, sweet boy... you couldn't be MORE wrong, but I still love you!)
Her favorite place to go with me is to Mommy's Target! (I do bribe them with Target trips, especially if it's yuck weather.)
Her favorite animal is a frog... um, ok...
My mom looks pretty when she wears a dress and when she had her wedding... aw, so sweet!
This is from Brett's other class - a handmade card and a bookmark.
I love seeing my kids write their own name - I'm amazed every time!
According to Kate, "I love my mom because she feeds me cereal."
Apparently, it truly is the little things in life, at least in the eyes of a 2 year old!
Kate's gift - a pot holder - the flowers, bugs, etc. are all her little finger prints. Very cute!

I must be one fantastic mom! I got spoiled rotten!! To top it all off, I also got gift cards to Massage Envy AND Tips 2 Toes... I can't wait to cash in on those :) And, Todd also got me a practical gift - new (much nicer) ear phones for the gym! As Brett would say, "You spoil me!"
