Remember when we built our firepit last summer and decided to throw a party to break it in? And the weather was
gorgeous?!! Yeah, that wasn't really so much the case during this firepit party. We decided to throw an impromptu firepit party to break it in for the season (any reason to throw a party, right?!) Literally, we sent an evite 5 days before the party, which is not like us and our Type A personalities. Either way... the weather was supposed to be beautiful. Then the weekend got closer and they said maybe 30% chance of rain. Then the day of the party they still said 30% chance of rain. Then I checked it again at 5pm and they said 95% chance of rain and I said WTH!?!?! Oh well... it turned into a garage party with the adults enjoying a keg and too many bottles of 2 buck chuck while the kids took apart the toy room, one lego and little race car at a time.

The adults hanging out in the garage, watching it poor down rain and thunder and lightning

2 of our sweet friends from school

3 of the 4 big girls that were there - I think they were glad to have each other because there were a LOT of boys!

Brett informing his friends of the rules - I'll never know why he's so
anal detail oriented.
(I'm kidding, of course.)

The little brother of one of Brett's friends.

A less than stellar picture of another of Brett's friends... I told you there were a LOT of 5 year old boys at this party!

One of my favorite boys - sweet little Finn - riding the tricycle with the princess helmet.
Safety first!

The Jong sisters - super cute!

One of the Crater twins... for the life of me I'll never be able to tell which is which. She was smart to wear a helmet - I'm not sure how much of the keg Todd drank that night :)

The end result of the toy room, which I did not mind at all. They ran around the whole house, having a race up one set of stairs and down another set of stairs, but they kept the toys contained to this one room. That's all I can ask for!
