We have definitely enjoyed our spring break to the fullest this year! We had a great Easter weekend, despite Todd and I sharing a lovely cold. On Monday, the kids went to the dentist and Brett had his first set of x-rays taken. (He did great!!) We went to the castle park and met up with some of our school friends. The boys had a great time playing Transformers and running all through the castle. They (sort of) let the little siblings play too, but only barely! Aunt Erin was there with her first graders, so we got to say hi to them for a few minutes. Some of them were even giving Brett pointers on his upcoming year of Kindergarten!

On Tuesday, we decided to take a road trip with Aunt Erin and Memere to visit Aunt Dithy for the day. We left around 8am and got up there just before lunchtime. After lunch, we shopped in downtown Boone for a little while; then we spend the rest of the afternoon at a park in downtown Blowing Rock. After a bathroom emergency, we got ice cream. Kate decided that she wanted "Rainbow." You can just imagine how messy she was... there is a picture below :) Then we took Aunt Dithy home and hit the road. Overall, it was a fun trip. A certain little girl was NOT a happy camper in the car and made it well known that she was MAD. The car ride home seemed to take forever, but we made it, safe and sound and in one piece.
