We had a fun-filled Memorial Day Weekend. Friday morning we had Brett's preschool graduation (see below). The plan was to go to the pool later that afternoon and enjoy the Family Friday Night parties (free keg and cheap dinner). Well, we had thunderstorms ALL afternoon, so the pool closed early. Then our plan was to go to Lynnnwood Grill and get some pizza and beer. Yeah... Lynnwood is in the process of moving to their new location across the street and had already moved the pizza ovens. The buffalo chicken wrap was good, but not what I was really looking for. Still, it was a laid back dinner and the kids ate beautifully, so it was a good time.
Saturday we ran some errands and got stuff done around the house, then went to the pool late afternoon for the Friday Family night that got moved to Saturday :) Then we took the kids home, dropped them off with Grandma, and took advantage of a night out alone. We had no real plans, but ended up at Maggiano's for dinner... for those that don't know, that's where our first date was as well as our Rehearsal Dinner. Then we hit Target and headed home. Exciting date night, huh?! Haha! Sunday was more of the same - laid back, low key, and a cookout at Grandma and Grandpa's house with their family friend, Tom. Monday was even more productive - we got lots done around the house and ended our fun-filled weekend with a cookout at the Flanagan's, which is where I left my camera, on their deck while the kids played on their awesome water slide. You'll have to take my word for it until I get my camera back and can get to the pictures :)
I hope you and your family enjoyed your long weekend and at least had a moment to think about what the holiday was all about. Thanks to our family and friends and to those that we don't know for serving and protecting our country.
