NC State Fair

It's NC State Fair time, boys and girls! Ok, actually it was a few weeks ago. This working full time things is REALLY messing with my blogging ability, or dedication, or something...

Anyway! We've always gone to the fair bright and early on a Sunday morning. Seeing as how I work every Sunday, and it's tough to get coverage on a weekend, Todd and I took vacation on a Friday afternoon while his parents were in town and all went to the fair. Their long-time family friend, Tom, came along too. Our kids love him and think he's absolutely hilarious, which he is.

Kate begged to go on this ride.  I mean b-e-g-g-e-d.  And then she had trouble with the seat belt and flipped out.  Then she was just mad.  This is Kate's mad face.
And this is her little, feisty, determined self - she was NOT going to let Todd get a picture.  Period.  The end.
This is one of Brett's favorite rides - well, it was last year anyway.  This year he said it was boring, and Kate cried saying that it was too scary.  Yes, it was the same ride that she loved last year.  Go figure.
So then we decided that Kate wasn't going on anymore rides.  She pouted on one, cried on the other, and they're really expensive.  So Brett got to use the tickets :)  He loved the caterpillar roller coaster.
We randomly stumbled upon this magic man named Amazing Arthur.  I have to say, he was pretty entertaining!
The obligatory giant pumpkin picture!
Kate is obsessed with the goats... I don't get it, but ok :)
And of course, Miss Spivey's Corner... Brett hammed it up, as usual!
This guy was freakin hilarious!  Here is Tom, chatting it up with the weird dancing robot.
We ended the night on the carousel :)  Ah, another fun day of rides and fair food!
