8 girls, 1 boy, 4 mommies

Whew, what a morning! We had a great play date with our friends today. The mommies even got to sit down together (mostly) and have brunch. It was lots of fun! Unfortunately, our mommy forgot to bring extra batteries for the camera, so these are the only 3 pictures that we got before the batteries died. Oh well!

The Mericle girls, Elanor & Eveyln, along with Olivia Crater, watching some Sesame Street. They didn't quite get the concept of a PLAY date at first!

Checking out the gate... poor Brett is checking out the ratio (8:1). We're hoping that SOMEBODY else has a boy sometime!

9 month well-check

Short version: Kate is skinny!!

We took Kate to the doctor today for her 9 month well-check. She's only gained 3.5 ounces in 2 months, meaning she's now dropped to 10th percentile on the growth chart. She's still about 60th percentile for length and head circumference... just tall and skinny! The PNP that we saw today said that she wasn't worried about it, so neither are we!

On a different note, Kate actually held her bottle today for 3 of her feedings - YES!!! She's also mastered a few new words (other than dada) - "ba" meaning ball or bottle, "ca" for car, and "ma."
