OIB 2011

My parents (aka Memere & Poppy) rented a condo on Ocean Isle Beach for a week and invited all of us down there for as long as we could go.  We only got to go for a few days, but it was a blast.  We drove down early Wednesday evening so that we could all eat dinner together and be ready for the beach first thing Thursday morning.  About an hour into our beach day, this is what we saw literally feet away from us.

At first they were telling everyone to get out of the water, which we all jumped to assume had something to do with a s-h-a-r-k.  Yikes!  That is Todd's biggest all time fear at the beach.  Turns out, there were two guys on a raft way far out and they were going to bring them back in.  Everyone was fine.  Drama over, thankfully!

There was the raft - way far out there!  Two teenage guys were on it.  They didn't really seem fazed at all.  I would've been completely embarrassed, but grateful that someone rescued me!

We spent a little bit of time relaxing in the condo and on the porch.  The swing was a favorite, along with many puzzles, Transformers, and coloring!

This is the life!  I've never seen it this calm!

Uncle Jeff rented a surfboard for a few days.  Lucky for him, it was not this calm earlier in the week.  It was too calm to surf while we were there!
