Wedding day

This past weekend we took a quick trip up to Washington, D.C. to watch our friends, Patrick & Janel, get hitched!  Patrick was very active at the Newman Center at Carolina and Todd went to Newman regularly when he first moved down here.  I went to Newman a little bit, but being so close to home I went to church with my family a lot as well.  Plus I was super-involved on other things on main campus, so I had a lot of acquaintances at Newman, but didn't know them exceptionally well.  Either way, it was good for Todd to be able to catch up!  Most everyone had their kids with them too, including the flower girl - her family lives in Raleigh and goes to our church... she and Kate were in the same VBS class in a few weeks ago.

They even had coloring books and new crayons for the kids to color during the reception!

Brett does not like to color, but he came ready with his Transformers.  He even met a friend and taught him how to transform too!

Transformers are apparently the universal friend maker!
